This was an amazing experience even when it was a rainy night. Ralfe was very personable, and shared the history of the places we were visiting. He was accommodating regardless of the weather conditions. Got to see many beautiful places in town. It was like living a movie. I highly recommend this tour.

A splendid trip! Ralfe has created a wonderful half day tour ideal for those looking to see some of the countryside near Porto but not return exhausted. He is actually from Amarante and and shared interesting tidbits on our relaxed drive to and fro about growing up there, it’s current state and future prospects. The town itself is one of the beauties of Portugal, with its river running through it and it’s stunning medieval bridge and stone walls. Included in the tour were a great art museum, a truly stunning church and its cloisters, and a yummy light taverna lunch in a place loaded with character and delicious wine. We also stopped for coffee and pastries in a cafe overlooking the River. The star of the show to me though was just walking around and seeing the beautiful surroundings and ancient structures. Ralfe is a knowledgeable guide and his Range Rover we were in could not have been more comfortable. I plan to go out with again to the Douro Valley when I am next in Portugal. This was a top notch experience. Thank you Ralfe.
